Map 3: J8-I8 Although this hike requires a water croosing almost immediately (and a fairly deep one at that) this is a beautiful hike for energetic kids or anyone who doesn't really want to put too much elevation in. The trail is well used by mountain bikers and X-country skiers, so be aware. The pond is gorgeous and a great place for a summer swim. There are tent platforms and a shelter adjacent to the pond. |

Map 2:H8 A very nice hike for kids and folks who want an easy walk, this is an excellent hike with a great waterfall at the end. Arethusa falls is the highest in NH at a scant 200 feet, but hey, we'll take it. It's still a nice hike. |

A fantastic hike for kids or novices, Mt. Cardigan used to be the home of a manned fire tower. The trip is easy and fun with some good views at the summit. Blueberries can be found along the trail in season. |

Found in the AMC's Southern NH Trail Guide, Monadnock is one of the most climbed peaks in the world. It's pretty easy, with some views, and almost always crowded on the weekends. A great hike for the novice. Consider taking the White Cross Trail as well, it's more scenic. |
